That of Cédric Sbirrazzuoli, Alessandro Balzan and Hugo Delacour was a fine debut at Imola in one of the most competitive championships in the world.
As previously announced by Motorsport.com, the three drivers made their debut in the GT World Challenge Endurance series with the Ferrari 488 of the DLC One by AF Corse team.
Together with PROs Balzan and Sbirrazzuoli, Delacour performed excellently, after experiences in Ferrari Challenge and Italian GT, showing up at Imola to “learn.”
More than positive debut, given the trio’s second place in Gold Cup, as they explain to Motorsport.com.
“New experience, new championship, new track and especially aboard a GT3. I am satisfied with my performance, the start with 52 cars at the start was impressive, especially when you are in the middle of the field,” Delacour says.
“There were a lot of new procedures to learn that I didn’t know, given my only experience in Ferrari Challenge. One of them is definitely the Full Course Yellow, then the driver change, we still trained ourselves to do well to not make mistakes. I think our team is competitive and we are ready to give 100 percent for the rest of the season.”
